Carson City Triad presents What's Your Story Nevada Appeal

CARSON CITY, Nev. – Carson City Nevada Triad presents What's Your Story Nevada Appeal, a discussion designed to help people understand the news industry in general, what recent changes to the newspaper distribution means, and how to access local news at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive, Friday, Oct. 12, at 11:45 a.m.

Adam Trumble, editor for the Nevada Appeal will lead the discussion.

“In the time of sound bites and opinion-related journalism, the importance of community-first news is even greater,” Trumble, said. “The Nevada Appeal has been serving the Carson City community for 153 years, and that’s because of its focus on community-first news and information.”

Trumble said it is imperative for people to know the state of the industry in these changing times and the future of the industry locally, and how to find and access local news, especially during weather-related emergencies.

“With the change of season and winter approaching, it is important for those to know where to find the most up-to-date news and information,” Trumble, said.

In addition, the presentation will include a question and answer period and each attendee will receive a handout of all the key talking points.

The presentation is free of charge and open to the public. Raffle tickets will be handed at the door for the chance to win a pair of Tahoe Donner Ski Lift tickets.

Carson City Triad provides health and safety related information monthly at the Senior Center. Triad is a collaboration between the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department and Senior Center.
