JAC Bus Passes

To renew your bus pass during the pandemic lockdown, just call 841-7433 and complete an interview over the phone.  The pass will be mailed to you.

JAC (Jump Around Carson) is Carson City, Nevada’s public transit system. Through a grant from the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division, JAC offers unlimited free rides on the regular bus system for seniors who participate in the Senior Citizen Bus Pass program.

Seniors (60+) can participate in this program by registering with JAC at the Senior Center Reception Desk between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Applicants must show a photo ID that indicates they are at least 60 years of age. If the photo ID does not have a Carson City address, applicants must have proof of Carson City residency through another ID, a lease or a phone or utility bill.

The bus pass is valid for an entire year (generally July 1 to June 30), as long as grant funding is available. There is a bus stop next to the Senior Center that serves Routes 1 and 2B.

For more information about this program or JAC, call (775) 841-RIDE.
