When: Tuesday, November 4 at 11 am

Where: Carson City Senior Center, Zephyr Room (west end)

What: As a final generation of veterans fades, this book by Steve Ranson, Ken Beaton, and David C. Henley preserves the stories of World War II servicemen and women, including POWs and concentration camp survivors, for future generations. Join co-author Ken Beaton to hear more about the book’s journey from concept to publication.

Ken Beaton was a US Coast Guard brat for the first 15 ½ years of his life. He’s been a Carson City resident for over 50 years, is a retired Nevada teacher and veteran's advocate. He holds a master's degree in Business Education from Utah State University. In addition to contributing to the Nevada Appeal, he has written stories about veterans, particularly those from World War II. Beaton has also worked as an advertising salesman, written for radio, and served three sessions as a legislative attaché.

Ask Ken about the true WWII tear jerker true romance book he’s writing.
